Plain expectations for the public reading room

Numen Leaf is currently a focused reading-room experience. These notes describe the visible behavior in the app, including the optional analytics configuration, without adding retention, support, or service promises beyond what the product shows.

Public browsing

Public library, help, collection, and work pages are available without an account. Numen Leaf does not need personal information for those browsing surfaces.

Reader progress

Your reading place is saved in this browser so work pages can point back to the last opened unit. Sign-in is not required to use this browser-based reading place.

Sign-in email

The sign-in flow uses your email address to send and verify a login code. Keep access to that inbox private.

Optional analytics

A deployment may optionally enable privacy-bounded analytics for aggregate navigation counts. When enabled, the browser keeps a stable anonymous ID in local storage and sends only route-safe slugs, counts, and coarse reader state. Passage text, notes, email addresses, login codes, and session data are not sent. Analytics is disabled when it is not configured.

Source links

Work pages may link to public source providers. Those external sites are outside Numen Leaf and have their own practices.
